PRICINg & ordering

I (Kate) have a knack for capturing the spirit of your celebration in the invitation, but just as important, I also offer confidence and a stress-free process with personal attention. From your first contact with me until you receive your gorgeous invitations, know that I will use my expertise to guide you along, step-by-step. It will be simple, it will be personal, it will be a pleasure.

All of my designs are custom created for you so pricing is determined on a project-by-project basis. Once we have defined your budget, we'll discuss style and quantity. Within a few days of our meeting you will be sent our proposal which outlines the cost and timeline for your invitations.

To help guide you in defining your budget, here are some pricing guidelines when working with That's Inviting!

Invitations
Pricing starts at $600-$700 for a quantity of 100 invitations sets. Each set includes the invitation, outer envelope, reply card and envelope, and enclosure card. Depending on the style of invitation you choose, each set would be tied with a ribbon, raffia, or other type of string, or be enclosed within a folder or petal envelope.

Envelope Addressing
For an additional fee, I can print your guests names and address on the main outer envelope. If you also order inner envelopes, those can be printed too. The fee reflects the time it takes to layout, format, and then print your guest addresses. It also includes the cost of the ink. I also work with a master calligrapher. Contact me for pricing.

Timing
You will receive your finished invitations approximately 3-4 weeks after the invitation has been designed and proofed. I suggest getting started about 2 months before you’d like to mail your invitations. Earlier is generally better.

Design Process
If you see a design on my website that suits you, great! If you’ve been inspired by what you’ve seen but would prefer to design your own invitation, that’s great too. Everything is customizable and can be made to match your theme. I’ll consult with you, by phone, email, or in person, and learn about your wishes for your celebration and your invitations. You may want to express a season, or a meaningful place, or you may have specific ideas about a flower, color, or photograph to use. I’ll happily include anything you offer.

Proof & Delivery
Using the consultation as our starting point I will design your invitation proof. This will be sent to you via a PDF, mail, or presented in person. After you have reviewed the proof and made any necessary revisions, final adjustments will be made and I will create a final prototype for you to review. Once this is approved your invitations will go into production and deliver within 3-4 weeks based on the timeline set forth in the proposal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you have a mortar-and-brick storefront or a place where your designs can be viewed??
A: Currently, no. I would LOVE to eventually have my own store one day! Contact me to set up a complimentary design consultation to view the designs in person.

Q: What kind of printing do you offer?
A: Most of my designs are printed with either laser print, ink jet print. These are very durable, economical choices and allow our clients to embellish their invitations with ribbons and additional colors. We also offer letterpress printing for those who request.

Q: Do you offer inner envelopes??
A: Yes, but only for select designs. If you really desire inner envelopes let me know when we meet. My hand-lined envelopes are also a nice touch and allow for great customized liners (I can even include your picture in a lined envelope!). Belly bands around the invitation are also fun.

Q: How do I determine the "reply by" date for the response card (for engagement, wedding and anniversary celebrations)?
A: The response card "reply date" should be approximately 3-4 weeks before your event, but you should check with your caterer (or reception site) and find out when they require the final guest count - some require a time frame of one month prior to the event date, some one week.

Q: How far in advance should invitations be mailed out for wedding and anniversary celebrations?
A: Four to six weeks prior to the event is the norm. However, if you plan on inviting out-of-town guests who will be flying in, you may want to consider mailing them out as early as eight weeks prior to your event date, assuming no Save the Date has been sent.

Q: How far in advance should Save the Date cards be mailed?
A: Not all brides have time to send out a "Save the Date", but if you're planning well in advance, six to eight months before the wedding is perfect.
